The double roller sand making machine consists of four core assemblies:
Roller Assembly (Crushing elements)
Frame Assembly (Structural support)
Compression & Adjustment Unit (Hydraulic/spring-loaded gap control)
Drive Transmission System (Power transfer mechanism)
Drive Operation:
Two electric motors transmit torque via V-belts to grooved sheaves, driving the counter-rotating rollers to crush materials through compressive action.
When material enters the crushing chamber, it is subjected to roll nip forces from the counter-rotating shafts. This forces the material through the inter-roll gap, where it undergoes simultaneous:
Compressive crushing (interparticle breakage)
Shear grinding (attritional size reduction)
Material flow sequence:
Fractured particles ≤ gap size follow tangential discharge paths along the roller rotation plane
Oversized particles (> gap) are recirculated for re-crushing until Up to standard discharge size
